Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) was established in 1951 as one of the first commercial radio broadcasters in Japan and began television broadcasting in 1959. MBS TV covers 22 million viewers in the Kansai region, including Osaka and Kobe, the major commercial cities in Kansai, as well as Kyoto and Nara, Japan's ancient capitals.
