KNEN (94.7 FM) it's interesting to learn about the history and founding of the radio station by Gene Koehn in 1979. It seems that his departure from WJAG radio due to a wage dispute motivated him to start his own station in Norfolk, Nebraska. It's impressive that Koehn was able to fulfill his vow and establish KNEN as a top 40 radio station in town. Currently, KNEN is owned by Red Beacon Communications, LLC and broadcasts a classic rock format. [*]
