Nevis Radio

Nevis Radio is Lochaber's very own radio station, broadcasting 24 hours a day from Fort William. The station launched in 1992 with Ski FM from the Nevis Range ski resort. Everyday it would keep skiers up to date with conditions on Aonach Mor. This was then followed by Holiday FM during the summer. It wasn't long until those behind the station's trial broadcasts realised that Lochaber needed a permanent voice. Nevis Community Radio Action Group formed to raise funds and make a local radio station possible. Nevis Radio was awarded a full-time license in 1994 and has been on the air ever since.

Nevis Radio aims to provide listeners in Lochaber with local information and entertainment by reaching out to the community, communication, and fun, It also trains and educates itself and its listeners by broadcasting in as professional a manner as possible.
