Swedish-Finnish singer-songwriter Izabella Lily is set to release her new single, “Fields of Green,” on January 31st. Echoing the sounds of artists like PJ Harvey and Fiona Apple, this rock-infused track carries a timeless message of hope.
Inspired by a famous psalm, “Fields of Green” is a heartfelt reflection on the power of hope and its gift of bringing light amidst life’s darkest moments. Reflecting on her personal journey, which deeply influenced the song’s lyrics, Izabella shares: 'Even through my darkest days, goodness remains. As I go through the deeps, somehow love follows me.'
The song was built on a musical idea originally created by Izabella’s father and further developed by her through an intuitive creative process. Recorded live with studio musicians at Finnvox Studios in Finland, “Fields of Green” was co-produced by Juha Jäntti (who also mixed the song) and Sam Seatone, and mastered by Svante Forsbäck. Its atmospheric rock sound marks a new creative direction for Izabella as she ventures into fresh musical territories to fully convey the song's essence.
Izabella Lily has always been guided by her unwavering love for music. Her songs subtly blend retro influences with a modern edge, capturing both personal experiences and universal themes through heartfelt, intimate melodies.
In 2023, Izabella signed with Rexius Records, ready to share more of her captivating creative vision with the world. Don’t miss the release of “Fields of Green” on January 31st—an anthem of hope for challenging times. Visit Izabella Lily on Instagram, Spotify, Apple Music.
