This new name reinforces the station’s role in providing a variety of content for the eXpatriate communities in Singapore while redefining the experience of feeling closer to home. First set up in 1998 as an entertainment and info station for the eXpatriates in Singapore, XFM 96.3 currently offers a range of broadcast programmes in Japanese, French, German, Korean, and Hindi.
The French and German programmes on XFM 96.3 are relayed 'live' off the satellite feeds of Radio France International (RFI) and Deutsche Welle (DW). Both radio services are well known international broadcasters with a focus on news, current affairs and information programmes.
The Japanese Programmes are hosted by DJs from COMM Pte Ltd.
The French Programmes from RFI include News from France and International News, information programmes on music, women and the media. For those who enjoy worldmusic, RFI features some of the latest selections available in the market.
The German Programmes from Deutsche Welle include programmes featuring New CDs, travel, current economic news, culture, sports, politics and contemporary affairs. There is also up to date news from Germany and the world.
The Japanese Programmes are presented by DJs of Hello Singapore FM 96.3. You can receive the latest News on Japan, Asian News, Business News, information on travel, fashion, movies, sports, health and even recipes. There is also a talkshow and kids hotline programme where you get to interact with the Japanese DJs.
You can also enjoy a selection of Enka music, J-pop oldies and J-pop hits.
Korean programming on XFM 96.3 presents 2 hours of non-stop contemporary K-pop music.
BIG Bollywood 96.3 FM, Singapore’s only Bollywood Radio Station is run by India’s leading FM Network BIG 92.7 FM. It will broadcast ‘live’ Bollywood entertainment everyday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, which will include Bollywood Hits from the 2000’s onwards. The Station is targeted at Asians who love Bollywood and seek Bollywood entertainment. It caters to the entertainment requirements of not only the fast growing Indian expat community in Singapore, but also all Asians who enjoy Bollywood music and content.
