KOSO (92.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Modern AC/Modern Rock format leaning towards alternative rock. Licensed to Patterson, California, USA, it serves the Modesto area. The station is currently owned by Clear Channel Communications.

The station previously had a hot AC format was known as KO93. Their playlist featured upbeat songs from the 70's through 90's. In the 1992, the station launched "California After Dark", an evening local love songs program similar to that of KOST in Los Angeles. In spring 1993, KO93 softened to more of a mainstream AC format. In March 1994, the station then launched a Saturday evening all-70's program. The station had competed with KJOY in Stockton and KJSN in Modesto, both of which had similar formats.

The mainstream AC format would continue until summer of 1995, when the station was relaunched as B93. As a result, the station shifted to a hot AC format. The 70's songs were dropped, as well as the evening love songs programming. The playlist by then included new music with a strong emphasis in 80's hits. Some staffing changes were made.

In late 1996 the station, still hot AC then, had begun to add more alternative-leaning artists such as Alanis Morissette, Counting Crows, Gin Blossoms, and The Cranberries to its playlist. The station was still playing soft rock and R&B songs but less and less of it. By mid-1997, the soft rock and R&B songs were phased out completely. as the station evolved to modern AC, its current format.

On June 1, 2009, at midnight KOSO moved from 93.1 MHz to 92.9 MHz as a result of the start of 93.1 FM (KHJQ) Pollock Pines, CA which began broadcasting in June 2009.
