From 8 August 2008 a new Latvian radio station called Radio Merkurs has been testing on 1485 kHz. The power should be 1 kW. It has been logged in Finland and the program consited of non-stop schlagers and evergreens and occasional ID’s. The station is obviously continuing the format of Radio Nord that closed down on the 1st of July on 945 kHz.
