Tucson's Classic Hits
]KHYT is a commercial radio station based in Tucson, Arizona. The station broadcasts on 107.5 FM and is known as "K-Hit 107.5". Originally, KHYT was assigned the AM dial position of 1330 kHz in the late 1960s but operated as a daytime-only station. In 1980, the owner, Robert H. Scholz, moved the station's city of license to South Tucson to allow for 24-hour broadcasting. In 1993, KCUB went on air on the 107.5 frequency, initially known as K-Cub and playing new and old country hits. However, KCUB was eventually moved to 1290 AM. In 1995, the station changed its call letters to KHYT and switched to a classic rock hits format, adopting the name K-Hit.
In 2004, the station rebranded as "Rock 107.5", but maintained the same playlist and format. Recently, the station changed its name back to "K-Hit" with a classic hits format, while using the same logo scheme. [*]
