CHUC-FM is an classic hits radio station broadcasting at 107.9 FM in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, branded as 107.9 FM The Breeze.The station originally began broadcasting in 1957 at 1500 kHz on the AM band. In 1963, CHUC moved from 1500 to 1450 kHz. In 2005, the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission approved an FM conversion for the station, which moved to its current frequency in 2006.The AM signal remained in operation, rebroadcasting the FM station's programming, until November 7, 2007. The AM transmitter signed off with the song What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong after airing a special sign off message.
