]Started broadcasting legally on 1 September 1990, it was a pirate station some time before that. Very trendy, in fact far too trendy for me...although it had a music policy change (due to management changes) in January 1999 to more mainstream choices. EMAP, the station's owners, are going for a larger slice of the 15-34 age-group market.
