]KMRJ is a 3 Kw Class A commercial FM radio station licensed in Rancho Mirage, California which broadcasts on 99.5 MHz and serves the greater Coachella Valley and parts of the Morongo Basin and Palo Verde Valley. KMRJ was launched in July 1998 as "M99.5" under an alternative rock format. It switched to a classic rock format as "The Heat" in July 2008.
